History
Faculty of Arts and Sciences was established in 1997 as one of the founding faculties of Atilim University. The Department of English Language and Literature was established in the same year, while the Departments of Mathematics and English Translation and Interpretation in 2001, and Department of Psychology in 2004. As of the 2016-17 academic year, Department of Social Sciences started to offer courses of Turkish and History to all the students of our University. English Translation and Interpretation and Mathematics conduct MA programs and English Language and Literature has both MA and Ph.D. programs. Between 1997-1999 Prof. Zeki Avralıoğlu, between 1999-2000 Prof. Engin Uzmen, between 2000-2012 Prof. Oya Batum Menteşe, and between 2012-2017 Prof. Belgin Elbir served as the Dean of the Faculty.
